Subtraction

Use words, numbers and alternate terminology to build a strong grasp of subtraction - a multi-faceted approach.

SUBTRACTION is the skill of taking numbers from each other - If you start with five lollies and you eat two is five less two makes three; five minus two equals three; 5-2=3.

The language of SUBTRACTION is learnt - the words, the concepts, the representative figures.

MATHSMART gives you practice with the words, numbers, figures and symbols of the four operations.
